I recently had two experiences with plant culture, starting with a fantastic exhibition at Tate Britain in London. Come and see us: British Women Artists 1520-1920 It shines a spotlight on unfairly forgotten female artists and challenges stereotypes.
The exhibition has a floral section that includes collages by Mary Delaney: naturalist Joseph Banks said her works were the only botanical drawings that could reliably identify plant species.
Other highlights include Augusta Innes Withers' detailed watercolors of fruit. I've never seen light so well executed…
