Science fiction, from Jetson The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of humanoid robots. But for a long time in the real world, such robots have been novelty at best and punchline at worst. For some reason, however, things have changed over the last few years. More than a few companies have developed humanoid robots, and these technical simulations are beginning to appear in car factories and transport costumes. Some companies even have promising domestic robots. Still, the most important questions are not answered satisfactorily. What is the point? Why shape a robot?
