Genomic studies may have revealed how Greenland sharks live for centuries, but rarely lead to cancer.
These sharks (somniosus microcephalus) They are slowly moving residents reaching more than 6 meters long and weighing more than tons. We know little about their lives as they roam dark and cold water, but it is thought that they have not reached sexual maturity until the age of 150. 400 yearsmake them the longest living vertebrates we know.
