The creator of the “Trump Gaza” AI-generated video, which depicts the Gaza Strip as a Dubai-style paradise, states that it is meant as a political satire targeting Trump’s “megalomania.”
The video, shared by Trump on his Truth Social Account last week, portrays a family emerging from the war-torn Gaza as they enjoy a luxurious beachside resort surrounded by skyscrapers. In the video, Trump is depicted sipping cocktails with Benjamin Netanyahu and Elon Musk tearing flatbreads into dips.
Originally created in February following Trump’s announcement of a Gaza property development plan, the video was shared without explanation on February 26th on his social platform.
Filmmaker Solo Avital, based in LA, produced the video using AI tools within eight hours in early February, expressing surprise at its widespread circulation.
Avital, along with his business partner Ariel Volmen, operates Run Eyemix, a visual company known for producing documentaries and commercials featuring notable actors like Michael Shannon and Winona Ryder.
The creators experimented with the Arcana AI platform to create a satirical piece commenting on Trump’s grandiose plans for Gaza.
Despite intending the video as a political satire, it garnered attention as potentially misleading propaganda by Trump.
While acknowledging the creative potential of AI technology, Avital recognized the importance of regulating its use to prevent abuse and misinformation.
