In 1893, Norwegian explorer Fridjov Nansen was on his mission to leave Norway and cross the Arctic. His ship, Fulham, was specially designed with a round hull, so he sat on the ice of the Arctic and gently ferries his crew onto the Arctic.
Nansen never reached the Arctic, but after being trapped in the ice three years later, Fulham appeared in the North Atlantic. The voyage was the first in history…
