Ridge wallets are popular among everyday-carry enthusiasts and social media influencers for their durable construction and minimalist design. WIRED reviewer Lauryn Strampe endorsed the wallet after testing it, writing, “I can’t imagine using anything else,” despite not being a minimalist and remaining skeptical of the brand’s “ridiculous” marketing. Select Ridge Wallet styles are currently discounted to $76 from $95 during the brand’s friends and family sale.
The wallet is also useful for travel, when carrying only a few credit cards can avoid the familiar George Costanza-sized bulge of a traditional wallet. Ridge offers a 99-day risk-free trial, so customers can return the wallet for a refund if it does not suit them.
How the Ridge Wallet works
The Ridge Wallet may feel unfamiliar at first. It consists of two pieces of aluminum held together by screws and elastic bands, with the cards positioned between them like a sandwich. The wallet can hold up to 12 cards, and its opening can be adjusted to match the number of cards inside using T-5 Torx screws and the included screwdriver.
For people who prefer to carry less, the design keeps cards together in one place. Strampe still carries car keys and other necessities, so the wallet has not replaced everything she carries, but it avoids having to search through a bag for credit cards, a driver’s license or a Costco card.

The Ridge Wallet is also customizable. Owners can add cash straps or clips, use a money clip with a slot for an AirTag, and attach chains or D-rings. Colored screws provide another way to personalize the wallet.
