Data processing and storage centers consume huge amounts of electricity

As global demand for Internet services and artificial intelligence continues to grow, the power consumption of the data centers that support them could double in just two years. This means that by 2026, Japan, with its 125 million people, will consume as much energy as it does today.
This discovery is attributed to the International Energy Agency reportestimates that global data center power consumption, including AI services and cryptocurrencies, could increase from 460%.
