In his 1987 bestseller Chaos: Creating a new science, James Glick introduced chaos theory to the public. Essentially, it is the study of non-linear events and how small actions can cause widespread disruption. Or as actor Jeff Goldblum explains it: Jurassic Park: “Just dealing with unpredictability in complex systems.”
Brian Klaas, associate professor of world politics at University College London, is well aware of the unpredictability of modern life.
