Previous Sui-sponsored hackathons have been fertile ground for projects that started as hackathon participants to grow into sustainable businesses on the network. Scallop was launched in June 2023 at Sui’s Soul Builder House with a small team of developers who won the first place in the event. Currently, Scallop has over $117 million in its TVL and is one of the better DeFi protocols in Sui. Navi Protocol is also one of Sui’s “Hackathon Heroes”.
