Sharing quantum computers can put you at risk of hacking

Hackers may be able to “destroy” other people’s outcomes with quantum computers, researchers say they warn that unless manufacturers plug in security gaps, the problem will get worse as devices grow larger and host more users simultaneously.
Sharing access to expensive computing hardware is a common practice, whether it’s a classic supercomputer or an exotic quantum chip. Classic devices often run multiple programs at once for many different users, but have security measures in place to prevent one user from affecting another.
