Archaeologists have long assumed that ancient Egyptian pyramids are reserved for the wealthiest members of society, but analysis of burials at a site called Tombos suggests that low-star workers are also worthy of the pyramid tomb locations.
A archaeological site in northern Sudan, Tombos was under ancient Egyptian rule around 3,500 years ago, when famous civilizations were the most powerful. By this time, Egyptian royals no longer supported the burial of the pyramids. But the Egyptian nobles were still enthusiastic about them…
