Forward: Refers to the meaning of an adjective placed near the beginning of a structure, or it may indicate something from an earlier time.
Action: Describes the manner in which a person or organism interacts with another or behaves independently.
Bird: A warm-blooded, winged dinosaur that emerged at least 150 million years ago. Birds possess feathers and lay eggs, which they often place in specific nests. While most birds can fly, certain species throughout history have been flightless.
Cell: (in biology) The smallest structural and functional unit of an organism. Typically composed of a watery substance encased by a membrane, cells are often invisible to the naked eye. Depending on their size, organisms can consist of thousands to trillions of cells.
Convergent Evolution: The phenomenon where unrelated species evolve similar traits as they adapt to comparable environments and ecological niches. An example is the resemblance in shape between ancient marine reptiles, such as Uokoya, and modern dolphins.
Hindrance: (referring to drugs) Pertains to conditions that may be regarded as diseases when the body operates abnormally. This term can be used interchangeably with illness.
Evolution: (verb: evolve) The process through which species undergo changes over time, primarily driven by genetic variation and natural selection. These adaptations typically yield new organisms that are better suited to their specific environments, though not necessarily “more advanced” than their predecessors.
Machine Learning: A branch of computer science that enables computers to learn from data and experiences. It serves as the backbone for various artificial intelligence (AI) applications. For instance, machine learning algorithms can analyze X-rays of lung tissue from cancer patients to evaluate treatment outcomes and predict responses for future patients based on new scans.
Neuroscientist: An individual dedicated to studying the structure and functionality of the brain and other components of the nervous system.
Pitch: (in acoustics) Refers to the frequency of sound frequencies. It describes the highness or lowness of a sound, determined by the vibrations that produce it.
Range: The complete spectrum or distribution of something. For instance, a range of flora and fauna refers to a natural habitat. In mathematical terms, it signifies the extent between the highest and lowest values (e.g., temperature). It can also refer to the distance something can reach or be perceived from.
Social: (adj.) Pertaining to gatherings of individuals. This term describes animals (or people) that tend to prefer being in groups. (noun) Refers to a meeting of individuals, like those belonging to clubs or organizations, aimed at enjoying one another’s company.

Subject: (in research) Participants in a study, typically referring to those who have volunteered. Some may receive compensation for their involvement, especially in health-related examinations.
System: A network of interconnected components that collaborate to achieve a particular function. For example, the human circulation system comprises blood, blood vessels, and the heart. Similarly, the components of a national railway system can include trains, stations, trucks, traffic signals, and overpasses. The term can also apply to processes or concepts that are part of a methodology for completing a task or a set of organized steps.
