Psilocybin, a psychedelic compound in certain mushrooms, might help mitigate inflammation

Psychedelic substances have shown potential in enhancing mental well-being by alleviating inflammation. In studies involving mice, psychedelics were found to reduce anxiety signs and the buildup of inflammatory immune cells in the brain, which could account for their effectiveness in addressing mental health issues.
Previously, it was thought that the immune system had minimal interaction with the brain, but growing evidence indicates that this is far from reality.
