Fossils discovered by Taiwanese fishermen have been identified as jawbones of the mystical Denisovan group of ancient people.
Denisovan was first described in fossil phalanxes found in Denisova Caves in the Altai Mountains of Russia in 2010. Few fossils were found, but some modern humans still have traces of DNA, indicating that they are spreading in East Asia.
The newly identified fossil mandible was recovered from the Peng Channel by commercial fishermen…
