The US is Developing a Major Health Database to Investigate Autism – Will It Be Effective?

Since assuming the role of director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) earlier this year, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has prioritized identifying a specific cause of autism. Prior to becoming the leading public health official in the country, Kennedy dedicated much of his career to questioning the connection between vaccines and the increasing rates of autism. He has now labeled autism as an epidemic and is launching a $50 million initiative to tackle the issue.
