Gonorrhea disease is resistant to almost all antibiotics, but those commonly used for urinary tract infections (UTIs) may be able to treat drug-resistant cases.
Sexually transmitted diseases (STIs) are caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria that can infect various parts of the body, such as the genitals and urethra. Common symptoms include burning fever when draining and expelling from the vagina or penis. If left untreated, infection can increase the risk of infertility and preterm birth.
