Birds often embellish their nests with various materials, including artifacts and feathers, to deter magpies and ravens from consuming their eggs.
Numerous bird species are observed adding human-made items to their nests, such as plastic, wires, and even bird spikes from buildings. In many instances, these objects do not provide insulation or structural stability, potentially making the nest more detectable to predators.
