Our organs seem to age at different rates, with lungs and kidneys aging rapidly in our 20s, decades earlier than other organs such as the uterus. A better understanding of how organs change as they age could help people develop healthy habits that may be particularly beneficial at certain times in life.
This is not the first time that changes in organ aging have been suggested. In 2022, researchers at the National University of Singapore made a similar discovery based on protein molecules in the blood.
