If you want to find a rock that will create the biggest splash possible, you might look for one that’s just a little bit curved, as this will generate the greatest impact force when it hits water, according to a discovery that overturns long-held beliefs in physics.
This discovery Jesse Belden Researchers at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Rhode Island sought to test the idea that flat objects make the greatest impact on water.
