Solar power generation is on the rise in India

“The whole world is watching us,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a speech at the COP28 climate change summit in Dubai late last year. “Mother Earth is looking to us to protect her future. We must succeed.” This call for climate action is intended to be global. However, it could also apply only to India, where the world's most populous country is increasingly setting the course for a climate-changed future.
India is currently the third largest annual emitter in the world.
