Dutch police plan to use autonomous robot dogs in raids on drug labs to avoid officers being exposed to criminals, dangerous chemicals and explosions. If tests in mock scenarios go well, the artificially intelligent robots will be deployed in real raids, police said.
Simon Prince The Dutch police force, Politie Nederland, has been testing and using robots in crime investigations for more than 20 years, but says it is only now that the robots have become capable enough to be used in more areas.
