Dear Reader,
New Scientist Live is one of my favorite weekends every year, and I’m so happy it’s just over a month away. On October 12th and 13th, thousands of people London Excel Centre To take part in what we can proudly call the greatest celebration of ideas and discoveries in the universe.
Across five stages, there will be talks from inspiring scientists and great thinkers covering everything from black holes and brain health to the science of free will and the paranormal.
I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say. Tuli King explains how genetic testing is revolutionizing genealogy and Carolyn Thompson talks about the amazing lives of gibbons.
The exhibition is once again packed with incredible experiences and displays, including a virtual reality rollercoaster, marine crafts, live insects, robots and even a jet-powered aerobatic aircraft from the RAF’s Red Arrows.
Schools Day on 14 October will give thousands of students and their teachers the chance to experience every corner of the exhibition grounds, as well as a specially curated programme of talks.
If you can make it to one of the show dates, you won’t regret it, and if you can’t, you can still listen to the talks on demand by purchasing your online ticket. We hope to see you there!
