Things are a bit shaky right now, both environmentally and politically, so I decided to call up some experts to find out what's going to happen on Earth in 25 years' time. At the risk of sounding a bit desperate, I asked each of them what they would see if I flew over the Earth of the future, looking down on humanity like an intelligent satellite. Would it be a desolate wilderness?
Their answers were a lot stranger than I expected.
Nevertheless, most countries are transitioning to at least partially sustainable energy, using wind, solar and other regular energy sources.
