Recently, I visited the Ice Cold: Hip Hop Jewelry Exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The exhibit features stunning items like Nicki Minaj's diamond-encrusted “Barbie” pendant (shown above) and a heavy gold chain depicting Jesus that belonged to Biggie Smalls. These pieces reflect the personalities of the rappers and their significant impact on hip-hop and culture. Being in New York, the birthplace of hip-hop, this collection adds a unique touch to the museum’s gem and mineral galleries.
