Our memory of who did what and why in a situation seems to fade over time, but we may be good at remembering where it happened. Understanding how memory changes can influence how eyewitness testimony is judged in criminal cases.
To better understand how memories change, Wilma Bainbridge Her colleagues at the University of Chicago conducted two experiments. In the first stage, 1609 people were shown images of her six scenes.
