A supercomputer that can simulate the human brain’s synapses at full scale is set to go live in Australia next year, helping to understand how the human brain processes large amounts of information while consuming relatively little power. It is expected.
The machine, known as DeepSouth, is being built by the International Center for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) in Sydney, Australia, in partnership with two of the world’s largest computer technology manufacturers.
