Preparations are currently underway for the annual Festival of Science and Ideas. new scientist livewhich will be held in London in just one week.
The show opens on Saturday, October 12th, with two days packed with talks, hands-on activities and demonstrations, with something for everyone of all ages and interests. Explore the exhibition space. interactive exhibit A futuristic hospital with state-of-the-art surgical robots and virtual reality experiences, an adrenaline-pumping virtual roller coaster, and more will be making their debut this year. There are also completely new experiences with sea beasts, dinosaurs, and more.
This year we have some great speakers including: alice roberts, Turi King, robin dunbar and our own columnist david robson. Hear stories about everything from forensics and supermassive black holes to the secrets of gravity and how to eat for better brain health across four major stages: Mind and Body, Space, Earth, and Future .
Our Engage stage will also be bigger and better than ever. Here you can find something familiar new scientist including face Live version of the Dead Planets Society podcast Hosted by hosts Leah Crane and Chelsea White and culture editor Alison Flood. SF showdown It will answer an important question: What is the best science fiction novel of all time?
