
Stargazing usually requires two things: dark and clear skies. But if you live in the Northern Hemisphere like me, dark skies aren’t an option this time of year, and if you live in the north of the UK like me, clear skies are never guaranteed. So this week I’m going to be talking about the specific types of clouds you can look for on those long summer nights.
Noctilucent clouds, also known as polar mesospheric clouds, are a rare type of cloud that glow a silvery blue against the dark night sky.
