Ozempic, Wegovy, and similar drugs are undoubtedly revolutionizing medicine. They have changed their ability to manage obesity and type 2 diabetes, but in reality they show the potential for a wide range of conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, addiction, and depression.
However, as we understand the benefits of these drugs, as well as knowledge of potential side effects grows, one of which appears to be a rare vision loss called non-arterial preischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
