Over the past few years, undersea cables from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean have been severed due to apparent sabotage. A NATO-backed project has shown how satellites can be used to quickly re-establish the most important communications.
$2.5 million first demonstration robbery The project (which stands for Hybrid Space-submarine Architecture Ensuring Infosec of Telecommunications) opened in Sweden on January 16th. The test simulated how the software can quickly match outgoing data communications with available satellite internet providers such as SpaceX's Starlink and Viasat.
