Solitude

In recent years, many of us have come to view time spent alone differently. Lockdowns implemented worldwide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly reduced many people’s social networks and sources of support. Some people jumped the gun, scrambling to resume their social lives as soon as restrictions were lifted. Others, however, thrived in solitude and never returned to pre-pandemic social levels.
