A British study found that heavy, prolonged, or painful periods are associated with poorer exam performance in teenage girls.
gemma sawyer He and his colleagues at the University of Bristol surveyed more than 2,600 girls aged 13 to 16 who took part in the Avon Parent-Child Longitudinal Study. The study did not include transgender boys. The girls were asked if they had experienced any serious symptoms.
