Living human cells have a resonant frequency, a rate at which they naturally vibrate under the right conditions. This has been suspected for decades, but researchers have now measured what some of those frequencies are.
When an object vibrates, the speed at which it moves back and forth has a major effect. At many frequencies, an object vibrates a little or quickly damps out, but at resonant frequencies the vibrations increase in size.
