Families confronted Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg with photos of their dead children, prompting the executive to apologize at a hearing in front of the US Congress on January 31st. The children had been subjected to sexual exploitation and other victimization through social media before their deaths.
“You have blood on your hands,” Sen. Lindsey Graham told executives at TikTok, Snap, Discord, Meta and X (formerly Twitter) during questioning.
