Amino acids can survive in concentrated sulfuric acid, similar to that found in the clouds of Venus. This doesn't make it more likely that Earth-like life exists in these clouds, but it does open up the possibility of a type of life based on sulfuric acid instead of water.
Whether Venus' clouds can harbor life has been hotly debated by scientists in recent years, especially after the discovery of phosphine, a molecule primarily produced by living things, in Venus' clouds.
