Shadowy Consultants in Nevada Strip Malls Tied to Pro-AI Super PAC Network
Spanish Springs, a bustling shopping center in Sparks, Nevada, is home to a variety of businesses, from Spirit Halloween to a Vietnamese restaurant. However, it’s also the location of a consulting firm that has received millions of dollars from one of the largest pro-AI super PAC networks leading up to the midterm elections.
Lantern Production Consultants LLC, seemingly operating out of a PO Box in Spanish Springs, has been paid approximately $20 million by Think Big, a part of the pro-AI super PAC network funded by Leading the Future PAC. The services provided by Lantern Production Consultants LLC range from polling to digital advertising, research, and strategy, all aimed at supporting AI-friendly candidates. Visit Leading the Future for more information.
This consulting firm is just one of four mysterious Nevada-based LLCs receiving substantial payments from super PACs within the Leading the Future PAC network. Summit Ridge Media Group LLC and Blue Horizon Compliance Consultants, among others, are also involved in this complex network of financial transactions aimed at influencing AI-aligned political campaigns in the upcoming midterm elections.
Watchdog groups have raised concerns about these LLCs potentially being used as shell companies to conceal the true beneficiaries of the funds. Shanna Portes, senior legal counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, argues that these practices are designed to obscure the flow of money within the political system.
In response to these allegations, the Election Legal Center filed a complaint with the FEC, alleging that Think Big and American Mission, as part of the Leading the Future network, violated federal law by using shell companies to mask the recipients of their payments. The complaint highlights the need for transparency in campaign finance practices and calls for stricter enforcement of existing regulations.
