Open Matter Network Today announced that Chris Biele, Head of Operations and Partnerships, will play a crucial role at Belgrade Blockchain Week 2026. In his sessions, he will address the importance of secure scientific collaboration, agent AI, and validation architectures.
Biele’s involvement comes after the commercial launch of the OpenMatter Network platform and the collaboration with Hashgraph Online (HOL) and DAIAA (Decentralized AI Agent Alliance) to enhance standards for verifiable AI agent execution. These initiatives align with OpenMatter’s mission to prioritize verification in next-generation computing.
Renee Davis, CEO and co-founder of OpenMatter Network, emphasized the significance of validation: “It is essential for businesses, researchers, technology leaders, and standards bodies to grasp the importance of validation. As AI and systems become more autonomous, relying on uncontrolled systems is no longer sufficient. It’s crucial to be able to prove their correctness.”
On August 25, Biele will lead the main OpenMatter session during moonstruck DeSci Day. The focus will be on cryptographic verification and privacy-preserving computing for secure collaboration. He will introduce OpenMatter’s approaches to masked computing, multiparty computing, zero-knowledge proofs, and post-quantum infrastructure, followed by a live demonstration using OpenMatter Network’s capabilities.
This session will also address a broader issue: Can cryptographic proofs substitute trust in collaborative environments where sensitive information cannot be securely shared?
“Valuable information often remains inaccessible due to security concerns,” Biele noted. “Cryptographic verification offers a solution. By computing protected data collaboratively without revealing it, we can overcome barriers to research, innovation, and collaboration.”
On August 26, Biele will deliver a keynote speech at ETH Belgrade titled “Don’t Trust, Prove: Building the Post-Quantum Verification Layer for Agentic AI.” He will discuss the need for cryptographic verification in autonomous AI systems and propose solutions for secure and compliant operations.
Biele will highlight how multiparty computing, zero-knowledge proofs, and post-quantum cryptography can enable AI systems to handle sensitive information securely while proving compliance without exposing the data. Potential applications in healthcare, finance, and critical infrastructure will also be explored to show the versatility of cryptographic verification.
The presentations underscore the growing importance of cryptographic verification in a world where AI agents operate autonomously across organizational boundaries.
Biele will also talk about OpenMatter’s standards work through DAIAA and Hashgraph Online, particularly focusing on the Cryptographic Agent Execution Standards Working Group. The aim is to drive adoption of a common framework for validating AI agent execution.
Renée Davis stressed the industry-wide importance of validation in computing security: “For a more secure future of computing with robust collaboration between organizations and AI systems, validation must be widely embraced.
