Prototype smart glasses can track people's eye movements using technology similar to sonar. This technique is an approach that consumes 95% less power than other methods.
Virtual reality headsets like the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest Pro track eye movements using cameras pointed at the wearer's face. This provides high accuracy, typically estimating the viewing angle to within 1 degree of her, but consumes a lot of power.
