
Blue-eyed people appear to be able to read at lower lux levels than brown-eyed people

People with blue eyes can read in the dark better than people with brown eyes, a small study found. This suggests that having blue eyes is an advantage in dark environments, and may help explain why this trait evolved in Northern Europe. However, this finding needs to be confirmed in larger studies.
