Apple’s second-generation AirTag is available for $23 each, down from its usual $29 price, or $89 for a four-pack at Amazon. The individual price is comparable to the lowest discount tracked, making the Bluetooth tracker a potentially useful purchase for holiday travel and everyday items that are easy to misplace.
Why use an AirTag?
The AirTag is a Bluetooth tracker that can be added to Apple’s Find My app. Members of the review team use the quarter-sized devices to keep track of suitcases while traveling. If luggage is misplaced because of an airline error, the owner can go directly to customer service without having to search for it in a panic.
An AirTag can also help locate a parked car, keys, a diaper bag, a wallet or a dog’s collar. Its location can be viewed through the Find My app.
Battery and alerts
AirTag batteries last several months and are easy to replace. Each tracker also has a built-in speaker that produces loud audible alerts to help locate an item nearby. You can share your location with an airline or with contacts, allowing other people to help find a misplaced item.
Current AirTag deal
The second-generation AirTag is currently $23 at Amazon, compared with its regular $29 price. A four-pack is available for $89, which may offer better value if you need more than one tracker.

An AirTag holder may be useful for attaching the tracker to a keychain or other item. One option is available from Nomad.
