Land shortage in Southeast Asia drives increase in floating solar power generation

Floating solar arrays are becoming increasingly common in Southeast Asia as land becomes scarce for the rapid expansion of renewable energy. This floating approach could also be an option in other locations where a large solar footprint is an issue.

According to an analysis by Jun Yi Chu Norway-based research company Rystad Energy currently has 500 megawatts of floating solar power installed.
