The Resignation of Means Shakes Up MAHA Movement
Means’ resignation has sent shockwaves through the MAHA movement, as members increasingly criticize President Kennedy for failing to deliver on key policy priorities. Many are also voicing concerns about Kennedy’s close ties with corporate interests.
The recent MAHA Summit sparked controversy due to its corporate sponsorships, which included companies like Walmart, UnitedHealth, and OpenAI. Sponsorship packages reportedly sold for up to $300,000.
At the summit, Kennedy engaged in a “fireside chat” with Vice President J.D. Vance and expressed optimism about artificial intelligence. However, this move was perceived as a betrayal of the grassroots values of the MAHA movement.
Means, a key figure in the movement, co-authored a book with his sister Casey Means titled “The MAHA Bible: Good Energy – The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Endless Health.” The book offers various dietary and lifestyle recommendations, including avoiding processed foods, seed oils, and certain household products.
President Trump’s failed nomination of Casey Means for Surgeon General raised questions about her medical credentials and controversial health beliefs.
