Revolutionizing Home Energy Storage: From Pilot to Scale

From a successful pilot program deploying 100 batteries to 65 homes in summer 2025, Every Electric has now scaled up to deploying 2,000 batteries in approximately 1,000 homes, providing a total of 4 megawatt-hours worth of energy storage by summer 2026.

Every Electric’s innovative approach has allowed them to distribute home battery storage on a large scale, reaching households in some of the largest cities in the United States. This expansion comes at a time when over 2 million rental homes and 80% of New York City homes, built more than 50 years ago, are in need of energy-efficient solutions.

While the focus is on serving New York City, Every Electric’s program has already gained popularity. With over 15,000 battery requests on the waiting list, the company aims to deploy more than 10,000 batteries by 2027, showcasing the demand for reliable home energy storage solutions.

Furthermore, Every Electric is not just limited to New York City. The company is exploring new opportunities with utility companies to maximize the value of distributed energy storage systems, opening doors to new markets and innovative solutions for customers.
